This is my grandmother's recipe for homemade lemon mint ice tea. A sip of this tea brings back wonderful memories of summer days at my grandparents' house for my brother and I. As we got older, we tweaked the recipe to include lemon vodka, which we now call 'Koehler's Killer Tea.' Enjoy!
6 cups water
6 tea bags
2 tablespoons fresh mint leaves
or more to taste
1 teaspoon orange-flavored drink mix (such as Tang®)
2 cups cold water
1 cup white sugar
or to taste
½ cup lemon juice
¼ cup lemon-flavored vodka
