An easy way to make individual instant oatmeal packets for a fast and hearty breakfast. The kids love to help! Add raisins, honey, or fruit as toppings if you like! My family of 7 will triple the recipe and put all the filled baggies into a gallon size resealable for storage. All the kids have to do in the morning is add water and any extra toppings and then microwave.

Ingredients

4 cups old-fashioned oats

1 cup wheat germ

¾ cup packed brown sugar

½ cup nonfat dry milk powder

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Step 1

Blend oats in a blender until powdery; transfer to a large bowl. Add wheat germ brown sugar milk powder and cinnamon; stir until evenly distributed. Spoon 5 tablespoons oat mixture into 17 individual sandwich bags.
