Frosting and Icing - Dessert
A not-so-sweet white frosting alternative that is great for all cakes and decorating needs. This may be tinted with food color if you like.

Jo Ann's Frosting

1 cup shortening
1 ½ cups confectioners' sugar
¼ cup milk
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon almond extract
Dessert Step 1 In a large bowl beat shortening and sugar together until smooth. slowly mix in milk vanilla and almond extract. Beat on high speed of an electric mixer for 5 to 7 minutes scraping often until mixture is light and fluffy.
