Frosting and Icing - Dessert
This icing is ideal for anise cookies. Separate it into several little bowls for lots of colors. Tint with a few drops food coloring. Use little paintbrushes to color. Kids will love it!
Servings: 16 Yield: 2 cups
Easy Creamy Icing

1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 ½ tablespoons heavy cream
3 drops red food coloring
Dessert Step 1 Blend sugar salt and flavoring. Add cream or water to make it easy to spread. Makes enough icing for 3 to 5 dozen cookies.
