This is a basic Italian sauce that can be used in any dish, including lasagne, cannelloni, ravioli, etc. It's very easy and tastes so good! Also, it smells like heaven!

Italian Sauce

Ingredients

11 tomatoes

coarsely chopped

½ cup red wine vinegar

½ cup white sugar

1 ½ teaspoons paprika

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon crushed garlic

1 tablespoon crushed red pepper

1 cinnamon stick

4 whole cloves

Directions

Step 1

Puree tomatoes in blender or food processor until smooth. Pour into a large saucepan with the red wine vinegar sugar paprika salt garlic crushed red pepper cinnamon stick and cloves. Simmer over medium-low heat covered until thickened and flavors have blended 15 to 20 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and cloves before serving.
