Calico Slaw Recipe

Ingredients

1 medium head green cabbage

shredded

3 carrots

shredded

1 green bell pepper

seeded and thinly sliced

1 red bell pepper

seeded and thinly sliced

1 yellow bell pepper

seeded and thinly sliced

1 Red Delicious apple

cored and chopped

1 Golden Delicious apple

cored and chopped

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons white sugar

½ teaspoon fine sea salt

ground black pepper

to taste

Directions

Step 1

Toss the cabbage carrots green bell pepper red bell pepper Red Delicious apple and Golden Delicious apple together in a large bowl.

Step 2

Whisk the apple cider vinegar sugar and sea salt together in a small bowl; season with black pepper. Pour the vinegar mixture over the cabbage mixture and gently toss to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
