Vegan Jackfruit BBQ Pulled Pork Recipe

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 (12 ounce) can jackfruit

drained and shredded

⅔ cup chopped onion

¾ teaspoon garlic powder

1 cup barbecue sauce (such as Sweet Baby Ray's®)

⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper

⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 pinch salt to taste

Heat oil in a saute pan over medium-high heat. Add jackfruit onion and garlic powder. Saute stirring frequently until brown 5 to 7 minutes. Stir in barbecue sauce. Reduce heat and let simmer until thickened about 10 minutes. Season with black pepper cayenne and salt.
