This my go-to holiday side recipe whenever I roast a turkey. Wonderfully crispy with just a hint of chicken flavor.

Christmas Potatoes

Ingredients

6 large baking potatoes

peeled and cut into thick slices

¼ cup turkey drippings

1 teaspoon paprika

¼ teaspoon salt

1 pinch ground black pepper

or more to taste

Directions

Step 1

Place potatoes into a large pot and cover with salted water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until just barely tender 10 to 12 minutes. Drain.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Step 3

Combine turkey drippings paprika salt and pepper in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Add potatoes and toss to coat.

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven turning occasionally about 40 minutes. Increase temperature to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and continue baking until golden turning occasionally 10 to 15 minutes.
