Recipesfull introduces to you: Rice Side Dish Recipes. (Rice-a-Phoney). This is a knock-off of a San Francisco treat. I created it for my family when I promised it for dinner and didn't have it in the pantry. It's in the chicken flavor.

Rice-a-Phoney

Ingredients

1 cup rice

3 tablespoons orzo

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons minced onion

2 ½ cups water

1 tablespoon chicken bouillon

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon garlic salt

⅛ teaspoon ground turmeric

Step 1

Combine rice orzo butter and onion together in a pot over medium heat; cook and stir until light brown about 3 minutes. Add water chicken bouillon onion powder garlic salt and ground turmeric; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender 15 to 20 minutes.
