Pork Chops and Apples Recipe

Ingredients

5 pork chops

salt and ground black pepper to taste

¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cumin

1 tablespoon oil

or as needed

2 apples - peeled

cored

and thinly sliced

1 cup chicken broth

4 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons ketchup

2 tablespoons finely chopped shallot

Directions

Step 1

Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour and cumin and shake off excess.

Step 2

Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Saute pork chops until browned about 5 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate. Add apples; cook and stir just until tender about 2 minutes. Transfer to a plate. Add broth vinegar honey ketchup and shallot to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Step 3

Return pork and apples to the skillet cover and cook until pork is only slightly pink in the center about 10 minutes more.
