Vegan Cheese Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

¼ cup nutritional yeast

¼ cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1 pinch garlic powder

or to taste

1 pinch ground cumin

or to taste

1 cup water

or more as needed

2 tablespoons margarine

1 ½ cups salsa

Directions

Step 1

Combine nutritional yeast flour paprika salt garlic powder and cumin in a saucepan; add water. Whisk constantly over medium heat until thick and bubbly about 5 minutes; remove from heat.

Step 2

Stir margarine into the yeast mixture until melted. Mix in salsa.

Step 3

Cook and stir over low heat until tomatoes are warmed through about 5 minutes.
